Puppy of the Month for March, 2006  is Whimsey.

Whimsy is a love.  Very smart and funny.  She loves playing hide and seek.
She's learned to use her nose and not just her eyes.  If I hide in a closet,
for example, once she realizes I'm there, she sits at the door until I come
out.  But her favorite playmate is Hope, my 6 year old Golden Retriever.
They run and play and tackle each other. They are best buddies. If Hope
doesn't feel like playing, Whimsy literally takes her by the collar and
drags her around until the games begin.

Whimsy has been coming to my tennis classes.  I was concerned it would be
hard for her to be tied up, in the corner of the court, while tennis balls
were flying all around. I needn't have been worried, she's been perfect. She
sits and watches for a short time then lies down.  She'll pick up a tennis
ball or two that comes her way but isn't too interested, which is
interesting because she shreds them at home.  I should mention Whimsy eats
all her toys.  She doesn't play with them she takes them apart, bit by bit.
They haven't made a toy or chew strong enough for Whimsy.  Anyway, back to
my classes.  Whimsy also comes to my piano class at Moorpark College.  The
teacher is so impressed with how polite Whimsy is.  Although she does snore
quite loudly on occasion.

I had jury duty a couple of weeks ago.  I took Whimsy.  I thought if (well
ok I hoped) they'd say she couldn't stay and then I'd leave.  No such luck.
They all loved her.  I was approached by staff there who said if Whimsy
needed anything special to let them know and they'd take care of it. Whimsy
made lots of new friends that day.  They didn't even seem to mind too much
when she snored so loud in the TV room that you could barely hear the TV
