Turn-in Day by Joanna

I thought I'd write you a small blurb about Vienna and my day.  We woke
up, went to breakfast late, took some pictures, then hopped back in the
car and drove out to GDA (with V. on my lap!).  I was proud and only had
one tear come down when I thought too much.  At GDA, I met up with Karyn
and Raven, and then with Voight and Vespa (MYL, brother to Vienna).
After that, Louise called us all over and we stood in the line to give
up the puppy jackets. Then we sat down and ate while listening to the
trainers (Yvonne and Wendy are the trainers this string) and Louise
talk.  After that, we all gathered for litter pictures.  Out of eight
puppies, we had Voight, Vienna, Vespa, Vita, and Panzer.  Voyager goes
in on Monday and Verrina is still being considered as a breeder.  After
the pictures, we all walked down to the dreaded in for training kennels.
Louise started calling off names by two, so that made me think she was
calling off kennelmates.  She eventually said "Vienna" and she added
"Raven" at the end! So, I was incredibly happy that Vienna and Raven are
roomies! They were in kennel 17, on the left side, so we took them in
there and sat with them and cried as the song "Say You'll Love Me
Forever'" played in the background. Then, we went to the outside part of
the kennel and sat for about fifteen minutes, crying and laughing.
Eventually, we dragged ourselves out of the kennel, went back to the
inside where we helped Vienna get in the doggie door (she didn't like
it, because it kept hitting her on her nose!) and then kissed them
goodbye one last time. Vienna was a very, very happy girl and greeted
everyone as happily as possible. I think Yvonne is her trainer, but I
could be wrong. Yvonne came in the kennels while we were in there, and
she said that we both had nice puppies, just as Vienna grabbed Raven by
the neck and started growling.  Yvonne sharply said no, and Vienna raced
over to her and sat down.  That made me happy.  After we left the
kennels, I got some Febe kisses, waved to Lomax, and then left.  Leaving
GDA with an empty leash is a horrible thing. Fortunately, I'll be
leaving GDA in just six days with a new boy, and I'm excited about him.
