Need help with your puppy?

From time to time, all of us have problems with our puppies. When you are experiencing problems (medical or behavioral), please contact Louise at GDA.

Any medical problems, contact GDA prior to taking your puppy to your vet. If your puppy has a medical emergency when GDA is closed, call GDA (818) 362-5834) and tell the operator that your puppy has medical emergency. There is always someone at GDA on call. If it is a life/death emergency, take your puppy to emergency pet hospital and contact GDA on your way to the ER.  Visits to your vet need GDA's prior approval (with exception of routine immunizations). When possible, make appointment with GDA's vet rather than your own vet. Vet reimbursement forms are available at www.guidedogsofamerica.org/vet_form.html .  The reimbursement form must be accompanied by a copy of the vet's invoice as well copy of vet records. These can be mailed to GDA at 13445 Glenoaks Blvd., Sylmar, CA 91342 or fax to GDA at (818) 362 6870.

If your puppy is experiencing behavioral problems, do contact GDA. Their puppy department can give you ideas for working with your puppy via email, phone or one-on-one help.
