Kadin

Kadin came as quite a surprise to us!  We had borrowed Vashti and Roxy for the Granada Hills Christmas parade, and that afternoon I sat at lunch saying, "We're not getting another dog until July, so I would be happy to puppy-sit."  The very next day, Louise called and said, "We have a ten week old, male black lab.  Do you want him?"  Apparently, a first time puppy raiser had decided it was too difficult a task to raise a young puppy, so she had returned Kadin to Guide Dogs.  After some discussion, we decided the timing was good as both girls were finished with finals, and we would all be home for the next four weeks on Christmas break.  Kadin was originally named Karl, but we decided Kadin, which means friend and companion, was more appropriate.  Kadin is now eight months and fun loving with lots of energy.  He is also very well behaved and just adorable!  He spends most days with Jeff at work, but has also attended classes at Moorpark College and UC Irvine.  He attends church and choir practice regularly, and has traveled by train to Oceanside.  He will be flying to Oklahoma later this week.  Many people have commented that he is the cutest one yet and that he is very photogenic.  We have enjoyed him immensely!
